Senior Physiotherapy Hampstead (65+)
Strengthening bodies for the years ahead.
Physiotherapy for Strength & Longevity
At SF Studios, we help adults aged 65 and over stay strong, mobile, and confident in their bodies so you can continue living actively for years to come.
As your body changes with age, aches and pains can begin to affect how freely you move and live. Our Senior Physiotherapy is designed to support active ageing through personalised physiotherapy programmes tailored to your body, lifestyle, and goals.
Many of our clients come to us with age-related aches and physical changes such as arthritis, joint stiffness, back pain or neck pain, reduced balance, muscle weakness, or concerns about falling. Others simply want to maintain their strength and mobility so they can continue enjoying the activities that matter most to them.
Our physiotherapy programmes are designed not only to treat pain and injury but also to prevent future problems, helping you maintain strength, stability, and confidence in your movement.
Our practitioners use a range of hands-on techniques and movement-based therapies designed to keep your body mobile, supported, and free from unnecessary tension.
Every treatment begins with a thorough and thoughtful assessment so we can properly understand your body and create the most effective treatment plan for your needs.
Benefits of Senior Physiotherapy
Working with a practitioner to improve flexibility, strength, and balance helps you stay active, capable, and confident in everyday life as your body changes with age.
For adults aged 65 and over, physiotherapy plays an important role in building and maintaining strength, improving balance, preventing injury, and supporting long term healthy movement.
Whether you want to continue walking long distances, travelling, skiing, playing golf or tennis, gardening, or simply moving comfortably each day, physiotherapy helps strengthen your body and support greater confidence in everyday movement.
Each session is designed around your body and your goals, giving you a personalised and effective approach that supports long term strength, mobility, and quality of life.
What Your Treatment Could Include
Your physiotherapy programme is designed around you, your current activity leve, and what you want to achieve.
Back Pain Physiotherapy
Through low impact exercises and targeted treatment, back pain physiotherapy helps address both acute and chronic discomfort, improving mobility and reducing pain.
Neck Pain Physiotherapy
With careful attention to the sensitivity of the neck, we create a programme of gentle mobility and strengthening exercises to help relieve tension and restore movement.
Foot & Ankle Pain
Your practitioner will guide you through stability and strengthening exercises alongside targeted treatment to relieve lower body pain and improve confidence when walking.
Postural Alignment
By strengthening the muscles that support your spine and improving mobility, we help address age-related postural changes and reduce associated discomfort.
Gentle Pilates
Using mat or reformer based exercises, gentle Pilates focuses on core strength, balance, and mobility to improve posture and support everyday movement.
Massage Therapy
Massage therapy can help relieve muscular tension, improve circulation, and support greater comfort and ease of movement.
How We Work With You
Everyone experiences ageing differently, and your body will carry its own patterns of movement, strength, and tension. From your first session, your practitioner will take the time to understand your daily activity, your concerns, and how your body currently feels.
We carry out a thorough assessment of your posture, movement, strength, and balance. From there we create a treatment plan tailored to your needs. This may include a combination of postural work, massage therapy, targeted physiotherapy, gentle strengthening exercises, and hands-on treatment designed to support long term mobility and comfort.
Our goal is not only to relieve current discomfort but also to help you maintain strength, prevent injury, and move with confidence in the years ahead.
We will also guide you in simple habits and exercises to continue at home so your progress continues beyond the treatment room.
