Foot & Ankle Pain Physiotherapy
Restore balance and stability in your movement
Personalised Foot & Ankle Pain Physiotherapy
Foot and ankle pain is often overlooked in its early stages, but it plays a critical role in how your whole body moves.
What starts as mild discomfort, instability, or tightness can develop into ongoing pain, reduced mobility, and compensation patterns that affect the knees, hips, and lower back.
Our foot and ankle pain physiotherapy in Hampstead focuses on early intervention as well as structured recovery. Your feet are the foundation of your movement. When they are not functioning well, it impacts everything above.
Through a detailed physiotherapy assessment, we look at your strength, mobility, balance, and gait, alongside your daily habits and activity levels. From there, we build a programme tailored to your body and your goals.
Whether you are managing everyday pain, recovering from a ligament injury or fracture, or experiencing balance and stability issues, treatment is designed to restore function and prevent further problems over time
Benefits of Foot & Ankle Pain Physiotherapy
Your feet and ankles are fundamental to how you move through life. They support every step, every change in direction, and every load placed through your body.
When pain or instability develops, it can quickly affect your confidence, your activity levels, and your overall quality of life.
Targeted foot and ankle physiotherapy helps to:
- Reduce pain and improve mobility
- Restore strength and joint stability
- Improve balance and coordination
- Prevent compensatory issues in the knees, hips, and back
Through consistent, personalised physiotherapy treatment, we work to improve the strength and flexibility of the muscles and ligaments that support your feet and ankles.
Alongside treatment, we integrate physiotherapy-led training, including balance work and strength exercises, to build long-term resilience and support confident movement.
This is particularly important as you age, where maintaining balance, strength, and stability is key to preventing falls and preserving independence.
Rather than simply managing symptoms, our approach focuses on restoring function so you can move freely and confidently without planning your life around pain.

How We Work With You
We begin with a complete understanding of your body.
Your physiotherapist will take time to understand your symptoms, your daily habits, and how your foot or ankle pain is affecting your movement and lifestyle.
We then carry out a detailed assessment of your strength, mobility, balance, and gait. Importantly, we look at how your whole body moves, not just the area of pain.
From this, we design a physiotherapy plan tailored specifically to you.
Your treatment may include hands-on therapy, targeted exercises, balance work, and strength training to restore function and reduce pain.
Our focus is long-term change. We provide you with the tools, exercises, and habits needed to support your recovery beyond the clinic and maintain strong, stable movement over time.
