Back Pain Physiotherapy Hampstead

Strengthen your body for a better everyday.

Wellness-Based Back Pain Physiotherapy

Back pain is one of the most common reasons people seek physiotherapy and it can develop at any stage of life.

It may begin suddenly through injury or build gradually over time due to posture, lifestyle, or repetitive strain. What often starts as mild discomfort can become persistent if not properly addressed.

At our Hampstead studio, our back pain physiotherapy takes a whole-body approach. We look beyond the area of pain to understand how your body moves, how you live, and what may be contributing to the issue.

Your physiotherapist will carry out a comprehensive assessment, exploring your symptoms, daily routines, posture, and movement patterns. From there, we design a structured programme tailored to your body and your goals.

This may include postural alignment work, Pilates-based rehabilitation, and targeted treatments such as soft tissue therapy or traction therapy, depending on what your body needs.

No two cases of back pain are the same. Your treatment should not be either.

Benefits of Back Pain Physiotherapy

Back pain affects far more than posture. It can impact how you sleep, your ability to concentrate, and your confidence in everyday movements such as bending, lifting, or sitting for extended periods.

Over time, this can lead to reduced activity levels and further weakness, creating a cycle that is difficult to break.

Targeted back pain physiotherapy helps to:

  • Relieve pain and reduce tension
  • Improve strength, mobility, and posture
  • Restore confidence in movement
  • Prevent recurring or worsening symptoms

Rather than simply managing discomfort, physiotherapy focuses on identifying and addressing the root cause of your pain so your body can move more freely and efficiently.

Whether your back pain is linked to desk-based work, physical demands, or a recent strain, structured physiotherapy supports recovery and helps you return to everyday life with greater ease.

You do not need to wait until the pain becomes severe. Early intervention leads to better outcomes, helping to prevent long-term issues and build a stronger, more resilient back.

Alongside treatment, we integrate physiotherapy-led training to strengthen the muscles that support your spine, improving stability and reducing the likelihood of future flare-ups.

Soft Tissue Therapy

Yoga Flow

Senior Physiotherapy

Support for adults aged 65 and over to maintain strength, mobility, and confidence in movement for long-term health.

How We Work With You

We begin with a full understanding of your body.

Your physiotherapist will take time to understand how your back pain affects your daily life, your work, and your activity levels. This allows us to build a complete picture of your body, not just your symptoms.

We then carry out a detailed assessment of posture, movement patterns, strength, and mobility. Importantly, we look at how your whole body contributes to your back pain, not just the spine itself.

From this, we create a physiotherapy plan tailored specifically to you.

Your treatment may include a combination of hands-on therapy, targeted exercises, mobility work, and movement retraining. The aim is to reduce pain, restore movement, and build strength so your body is better supported long term.
