Health and Safety Policy

SF Studios takes its responsibility for ensuring the safety of clients very seriously.

    • Client Registration and Emergency Details:
All clients must complete a Registration Form and sign the SF Studios Consent Form upon joining the studio. These forms must include accurate emergency contact details and relevant medical history. A copy of the primary and emergency contact details will be securely stored on the Mindbody system in compliance with data protection regulations (e.g., the UK GDPR).
Clients are responsible for promptly notifying the studio of any changes to their emergency contact information.
    • Fire Safety Procedures: All SF Studios employees are fully trained in fire evacuation procedures and understand the steps to follow in an emergency. Fire drills and checks will be conducted regularly to ensure compliance with fire safety regulations.
    • Risk Assessments: Regular risk assessments of the premises will be conducted to identify potential hazards. Any concerns will be addressed promptly and raised with the relevant authorities or building owners if necessary.
    • First Aid: SF Studios will maintain a fully equipped and accessible First Aid kit within the premises. All incidents must be documented in the Accident Report Book, with a copy provided to the client if requested.
Senior physiotherapists are required to hold up-to-date First Aid certifications.
    • Emergency Situations: In the event of an emergency, SF Studios will contact the emergency services first, followed by the parent or guardian of the student(s) involved using the contact information provided on the consent form.
    • Health Considerations: Clients, parents, or guardians must inform the therapist of any pre-existing medical conditions, injuries, or health concerns before participating in any class or session.
    • Studio Rules:
    1. Only clean indoor shoes are to be worn inside the studio to protect the flooring and for health and safety purposes.
    2. Shoes must be worn when using the toilet facilities.
    3. Clients should not wear jewellery that may pose a risk to themselves or others (stud earrings and jewellery worn for religious or cultural reasons are acceptable).
    1. No food or chewing gum is allowed in the studio. Water is permitted but must be in bottles with secure caps.
    • Safeguarding Children: No child will be allowed to leave the studio with anyone other than their parent or guardian unless prior permission has been given to the therapist, either verbally or in writing (e.g., via email).
    • Policy Review: SF Studios is committed to reviewing its policies and procedures annually to ensure ongoing compliance and effectiveness.
