Personalised Physiotherapy for Knee Pain
Knee pain is one of the most common musculoskeletal issues and one of the easiest to ignore in its early stages.
What often starts as a small niggle can gradually develop into persistent pain, reduced movement, and longer-term injury if left untreated. Whether you are an athlete managing a specific injury or noticing discomfort in everyday activities, knee pain can quickly impact how your whole body moves.
Our knee pain physiotherapy Hampstead focuses on early intervention as well as structured recovery. Through a detailed assessment, we identify not just where the pain is, but why it is happening.
Using a combination of hands-on treatment and targeted rehabilitation, we build a programme designed around your body and your goals. This may include sports physiotherapy, soft tissue therapy, trigger point therapy, and structured strength training, whether you are managing ongoing pain, recovering from surgery, or working through ACL injury rehabilitation.
Every session is personalised to your body and your goals so your recovery is both effective and lasting.
Addressing knee pain early leads to faster, more effective recovery and helps prevent more serious issues developing over time.
Benefits of Knee Pain Physiotherapy
Knee pain does not just affect exercise. It impacts everyday movement, from walking and climbing stairs to sleeping comfortably.
When the knee becomes painful or unstable, the body compensates. Over time, this can place additional strain on the hips, ankles, and lower back, creating a cycle of discomfort and imbalance.
Consistent knee physiotherapy supports recovery by:
- Strengthening the muscles around the knee joint
- Improving stability, alignment, and control
- Restoring confidence in movement
- Reducing the risk of recurring or more serious injury
Alongside treatment, we integrate physiotherapy-led training to build strength around the knee and support long-term joint health. This supports recovery and helps protect against future injury, allowing you to move with confidence over the long term.
Rather than simply managing symptoms, our approach focuses on identifying and addressing the root cause so movement feels strong, stable, and sustainable again.
Whether you are experiencing clicking in the knee, pain around the patella (commonly known as jumper’s knee), or knee pain from cycling, our physiotherapists in Hampstead take the time to understand exactly what is happening and how to resolve it properly.

How We Work With You
We start by understanding you.
Your assessment is detailed and considered. We take time to learn about your daily life, training, movement patterns, and when your knee pain occurs, building a full picture of how your body functions.
From there, we assess your movement, strength, and joint mechanics. Importantly, we do not just look at the knee. We assess how your hips, ankles, and overall movement patterns contribute to the issue.
This whole-body approach allows us to identify the root cause and create a physiotherapy plan that is precise, structured, and tailored to you.
We also offer advanced assessment using KINVENT technology, particularly valuable for athletes and post-injury recovery. This allows us to measure strength, balance, range of motion, and asymmetry in real time, removing guesswork and guiding your rehabilitation with objective data.
