Personalised Reformer Pilates Sessions designed around your body

PERSONALISED REFORMER PILATES AT SF STUDIOS

Every session is shaped by our physiotherapist-led approach that helps you understand how your body moves, where it compensates, and what it needs.

Sitting within our wider ecosystem of physiotherapy, strength training and movement education, our sessions go beyond simply “doing the exercises” to understanding why you’re doing them and how they support your long-term movement health.

At SF Studios, it’s not about reshaping how you look, but about improving how your body moves, and how it feels to live inside it.

what is reformer pilates

What is Reformer Pilates?

Reformer Pilates is a full-body, low-impact form of strength training using a specialised piece of equipment called a Reformer. Originally created to help people ‘re-form their bodies after injury, it uses adjustable springs, straps and a moving carriage to create resistance which can be finely adjusted for your needs and goals  – from building strength and improving movement quality to supporting rehabilitation and recovery after injury.

Because the resistance can be finely adjusted, Reformer Pilates can both support and challenge the body, allowing you to build strength, control and mobility through precise movements, without the heavy joint loading of traditional gym-based training.

At SF Studios each Reformer session is one-to-one, which allows us to work with far greater specificity than in a group class.

Each session is:

Whether you’re rebuilding strength, managing pain, improving performance, or simply wanting to move with more ease and confidence, we meet you where you are at and we empower you to know what you need.

What makes our approach different:

1

Led by highly experienced movement specialists

2

Programmes built around your goals, history and biomechanics

3

Whole person and integrated approach and integrated thinking

4

A strong focus on education, awareness and progression

If you’re working alongside a physiotherapist or strength coach at SFS, your Reformer sessions can complement and reinforce that work seamlessly.

Getting Started

We recommend starting with our introductory package. This allows us to carry out a detailed assessment of your posture and movement patterns, providing the foundation for a programme specific to your body. It also gives us the time to understand your goals and ensure your sessions are working purposefully towards them.
