Sometimes we like to know exactly what we’re letting ourselves in for. We have included all of our frequently asked questions below. If your question isn’t answered or you would like more information, please contact us.

 

General

What is the policy for cancellation and missed appointments?

Our studios run a cancellation policy of 48-hour on all the classes and private sessions. Cancellations can be made via e-mail only. For Monday, cancellations must be made by 5pm on Friday at the latest.


What should I wear?

Something loose and comfortable.

 

SF Therapy

Do you cover BUPA appointments?

Yes, the patient needs to provide us with a membership number, authorisation code and the number of sessions that have been authorised.

We will make the bookings once we have all the information and send the invoice to BUPA for payment. If BUPA doesn't pay us for any reason, the patient is liable for the cost of the sessions.
 

Can I book an appointment through Nuffield Health?

Yes, we are part of Nuffield Health. To book a Nuffield session go directly to the Nuffield website.

What other insurance is covered by your practice?

Pruhealth, CSHealth Care, WPA, Exter and Alliance.

What is the payment policy for bookings through these insurers?

The client pays for their appointment and claims back from their insurer. An invoice can be obtained from our reception desk.
 

What treatments are covered by the insurance companies?

Only physiotherapy with our registered physiotherapists is covered and qualifies for a claim back from the insurer.

Different insurers have different terms and agreements, so make sure your specific case is covered in advance.


What will happen at my first appointment?

During your first appointment you will be asked a number of questions including how your problem began, the nature of your symptoms, your general wellbeing, previous injuries and medical conditions. This information will help the physiotherapist determine if there are physical conditions that would prohibit or limit a treatment as well as draw up a treatment plan. An assessment will include:

·         the body area involved

·         posture in standing, sitting and lying

·         body symmetry

·         joint and nerve movement

·         muscle length, muscle strength

·         quality of certain movements (e.g. how a person moves rather than how far)

·         what relieves or worsens the pain

 

How long will it take me to get better?

Recovery is unique to every patient. Subsequent appointments will build on the diagnosis and progress of the first appointment. The physiotherapist will discuss ways in which you can be an active participant in your own rehabilitation and how to prevent a recurrence of the problem.

 

SF Movement

Online booking and app

You can manage booking and payments directly through our website www.sfstudioslondon.com or through our app " SF Movement studio", which you can find and download on both App Store (for iPhone) and Google Play Store (for Android). 

Simply download the app, create your account, log in and manage your classes and appointments from there.

 

Is it essential to book in advance?

Walk ins are more than welcome. However, we encourage to book your spot in advance via website, app or phone to avoid disappointments as we do operate on a first come first served basis. Remember to turn up 5 minutes before the start of the class to get ready and have a cup of tea in our lounge.

 

What should I bring on my first visit? 

Wear comfortable clothes that allow you to move freely. All our classes are run barefoot or with socks. We have water to keep you hydrated and fresh towels if you would like to shower at the end of your class. 

On your first visit, please come in 15 minutes before the start to fill out our form with your details.

 

Is there a parking area? 

Just in front of our studio there are few parking spots reserved for our clients. To get in through the gate, press number 5 on the gate keypad, this will ring through to reception and we will open the gate for you.

 

Are there showers? 

Yes, we have private two private showers with heated floors and we provide fresh towels.
